What is Epoxy Resin ?

Epoxy resin is a
extremely sticky liquid that could be
very difficult to work with, but when it
dries, it becomes a solid hard and glossy
coating. It is used to make things
more durable and waterproof, such
as surfboards, preventing them from
breaking or being damaged by water.

Waterproof?

Epoxy resin is not compatible with water when its cured, meaning that is has to be hard for it to follow this waterproofing property which can take from 4 to 12 hours depending on the room temperature. This is why is also used by the yachting and surfing industry to manufacture external pieces, combining durability and water resistance into one.

There are ultra high temperature epoxy that can resist up to 450 Fahrenheit (260 Celsius). Typically, conventional epoxy holds temperatures up to 150 Fahrenheit (65 Celsius).
